Mono-Prints

My monoprints are driven by an exploration of surface, texture, and the traces left by time and process. Working through layers of ink, mark making, and material interaction, I create unique impressions that balance intention with chance. The monoprint process allows for spontaneity and discovery, where each image emerges through successive acts of addition, removal, and transformation. Inspired by weathered surfaces, natural processes, oxidation, and the subtle evidence of wear, these works investigate how marks accumulate and evolve. Scratches, stains, fragments, and tonal shifts become a visual language that speaks of change, memory, and resilience. Rather than depicting specific subjects, the prints invite viewers to engage with texture, atmosphere, and the physical presence of the surface itself. Each mono-print is a one-of-a-kind work that embraces unpredictability, celebrating the rich possibilities that arise when process, material, and intuition intersect.
